Goodness and Mercy Missions continues to intervene in the lives of needy children and young people changing their story for the better. This could not have been possible without the kind and timely intervention of good will people around the world who have spotted our services and offered a hand of assistance. Sometime ago our friends at Catalyst Exhibits a designing company in USA together with The Bekin Van Lines Company, a moving company started an income sustainable project for the GMM Needy Child program. They bought motor bikes whereby GMM has been using as taxis and generating income. Until now more than a hundred children have been helped in both primary and secondary school. It is interesting that we first aimed at helping about 35 children. The program has gone as far as to pick certain needy young people and training them with vocational skills. A girl Mirabel is also already an apprentice partly sponsored by COMMIT2AFRICA a UK charity working with GMMAFRICA and the motor bike taxi business.
GMM is happy to announce that Pilate Yuh has graduated from the driving school fully sponsored by the program. A sum of 185000 FCFA has secured his training at the Afumbom Driving school in Bamenda. He has had all tests from the Ministry of Transportation in Cameroon and is qualified as a driver. Pilate has received the certificate from the school and the driving license from the government.
Thanks to Catalyst Exhibits, USA. What they gave us became a Catalyst and has blessed lots and lots of people in Cameroon. The program they started is a very good program. Formerly we used to make profiles of children and wait for long for them to get a sponsor. Now it is easy. While they wait, we help.
Pilate has asked us to extend special greetings to Catalyst Exhibits. Pilate is an orphan boy. When the mother died he spent years working with an uncle who ended up disappointing him awfully. We met the boy completely downcast and we called him up to the training. GMM also sponsors his brother Job and his little sisters Carine and Faith.
We still need more motor bikes to intensify the program help more children. We have attached the proposal for anyone willing to help. You can contact us directly at info@gmmafrica.org. Also take time to check our site www.gmmafrica.org and www.gmmafricachild.org.
