Providing Job Skills through ICT Training, Goodness and Mercy Missions

Providing job skills through ICT training in Belo has been one of the main occupations of Goodness and Mercy Missions in Cameroon. Living in a computer age youths find it difficult in being useful in the job market without the skills needed. Hundreds of young boys and girls have been trained by Goodness and Mercy Missions in Belo. Most of them are already employed in schools, hospitals and other institutions.

We continue to thank those people who have made it easy for us to have PCS for the program. Special thanks go to Helps International, Buea, Jiesiele and Evrim in Germany, Informatique Afrique in Switzerland and a lot other people. You can still help the program by donating a desktop or laptop computer. We can be reached at info@gmmafrica.org.

Mbzimunang Mildred's Plight, the GMM Child Sponsorship, Cameroon

One of the greatest achievements to date of Goodness and Mercy Missions has been the impact it makes in the lives of underprivileged children. Connecting such children to sponsors around the world has really helped in the areas of education, health and nutrition.

We want to introduce you to the case of Mildred. Mbzimunang. Mildred is a young talented girl born on October 1993. The father is of late and the mother does subsistence farming. All along Mildred had been struggling with life. She had the blessing of a benefactor, Mr. Peter Nshing who now resides in France. He helped her go through Secondary school and is now at the High School in Progressive Comprehensive High School, Bamenda. The man helping her later encountered financial problems.

Mildred’s major problem is not that of education. It concerns her health. She has kidney failure. She lives on medication. She has been recommended for dialysis thrice a week, at the cost of 5000 FR, about 10 USD per session. Mildred cannot afford it. Once you start you cannot stop. Medicine for the regulation of her monthly BP is 10000 Frs about 20 USD.

The doctor has also recommended kidney transplant for her. This is really difficult. It is not even done in Cameroon.

These are Mildred’s problems. But you can help. You can help by meeting any one of her needs above. GMM has already helped on her BP regulation for 2 months. It will continue to help as soon as the funds are available. You can choose to help her for a week, for a month, for a year or for however.

Mildred has a bright future if not for the health problems. Together we can help figure out that future for her.
